Let’s Go! K9 Training provides effective and lasting dog training, serving the greater San Fernando Valley area . We help dog owners create a life of peace and harmony between human and canine.
As the founder and lead trainer of Let’s Go! K9 Training, Meredith Richey’s passion for working with dogs started at an early age. She grew up with a variety of breeds from Beagles to Shepherds. As time went on, Meredith would come to understand that her family did plenty of things wrong with their beloved dogs in the beginning. Due to a lack of understanding around canine psychology and the primal nature of dogs, they struggled to achieve balance in the canine and human relationship, both in and out of the home. Meredith found herself forced to figure out what was missing in order to create calmness in her pack dynamic. And what she discovered has been at the core of her passion to share the power of balanced dog training with her clients.

MEREDITH’S APPROACH TO DOG TRAINING
Her unique approach to balanced training was formulated after much rescue work, self study, mentorship, and consistent work in veterinary clinics, hospitals, and dog daycare / kennel facilities. Meredith and her team empower dog owners to overcome their dog’s unwanted behavior issues of jumping, barking, pulling on leash, separation anxiety, destructive behavior, and reactivity. But just as important, they cultivate dogs who are better connected, more confident and content, and ultimately eligible for more freedom.
While working with her clients, Meredith helps dog owners see positive canine behavioral change as they work on their own personal development and leadership mastery. Our dogs mirror our own energy and body language. Therefore, understanding the impact of our own process and state of mind is required to create the relationship with our dogs that we desire. Our dogs are looking for leadership. So, showing dog owners how to provide consistent, clear communication that their dogs trust is the training team’s mission.

SKITTLES
Skittles helps dogs to improve their socialization skills and their ability to exist calmly around other dogs. Given his high energy, he is a great distraction for dogs who are learning to not be anxious around other dogs.
FLY
Fly helps with dog socialization and teaching dogs and teaching dogs how to be in a calmer state of mind. He helps with the more challenging dogs who have more intense behavioral issues like aggression.
